Answer given by Mr Rehn on behalf of the Commission
The Commission has been informed of the situation concerning Mr Vasko Gligorijevic (or Vasko Gligorov), a citizen of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
However, the Commission has not found any evidence, which would constitute grounds for human rights violation in this particular case. According to the information that the Commission has obtained through its Delegation in Skopje, Mr Gligorijevic's treatment in the hospital of Bardovci is unrelated to his political views or his freedom of expression.
